Autumn

We loved planning our savoury biscuit recipes. We evaluated the results and thought about what went well and what we could improve.

Properties and changes of materials: evaporation, filtering and sieving (reversible changes); burning (irreversible change).

We practised our tag rugby skills with staff and students at Sevenoaks School.

Inspired by artist Grayson Perry's Map of Days, we created our own maps, revealing something of our own life stories: favourite people, inner feelings, interests, special places...

The Young Shakespeare Company did a wonderful performance of William Shakespeare's Macbeth.

As part of our learning about Scandinavia, we made pastel versions and prints of Edvard Munch's The Scream.

We had a great day at the Observatory Science Centre at Herstmonceux. We learned about space exploration in the International Space Station and experienced lots of Forces, as well as light and sound.

We have enjoyed learning to play netball this term.
