In Design Technology this term we have been learning how to sew, using the running stitch, back stitch and blanket stitch. The children designed and made their own sock animals using these stitches.

In georgraphy we have been studying Migration. This week we looked at Voluntary Migration and The Windrush Generation. We drew these pictures to celebrate what they have done for Britain.

This week Year 6 performed at The Stag Theatre Love2Dance show. They were amazing!

To kick start Science Week, Year 6 went to a workshop in Sevenoaks School as part of their outreach programme. They built Mars Rovers out of lego, then connected them to a tablet to code how they could move around the hall.

Year 6 went on a trip to the Imperial War Museum. They had a great time and loved seeing the many artefacts.

Year 6 created these colourful posters to help us know how to stay safe online.

This week Year 6 ran the Prayer and Liturgy. They decided on the prayers, hymns and even did all the slides themselves. Well done Year 6!

We had two special visitors this week, Police Officer Tom and Police Community Support Officer Tim. They came to talk to the children about legal age of responsibility and how now, as they are all over 10, they are responsible for their own actions. They spoke about lots of different ways that the children can keep themselves and others safe- both online and in person, all really important information for them as they will be all going to secondary school this year.

BLITZ ARTWORK- Using our class reader, Whistling in the Dark, as inspiration, Year 6 produced these wonderful pieces of art.
